言わずと知れた高知の県魚。漢字では「松魚」とも書き、目出度い魚の代表格のひとつです。高知では昔から重要な水産資源として生活と切っても切れない魚です。

天然記念物にも指定されている土佐金。名称の通り土佐（高知）地域を中心に飼育されています。リュウキンとは尾ひれが異なり、反転した尾ひれ（そり尾）が特徴のとても美しい金魚です。

 

Tosakin is designated as a natural monument. As the name suggests, they are bred mainly in the Tosa (Kochi) area. It is a very beautiful goldfish that differs from Ryukin in its caudal fin and features an inverted caudal fin.

四方竹の旬は、10月中旬ころからわずか1ヶ月程度です。秋しか味わえない希少な山の幸は高知ではお馴染みのものです。切り口が四角い形に近いことから、この名がついています。

やまももは高知の県花です。毎年3～4月頃に花弁のない小さな花を咲かせます。梅雨どきになると暗紅色で甘酸っぱい実がなります。

高知県いの町を流れる仁淀川。五月に鮮やかな色合いの紙の鯉のぼりが水面に踊ります。皆が慣れ親しんだカタチをそのまま畳縁にしました。
